Cedar Bark "Medicine Basket" Necklace

Woven of western red and rare Alaskan yellow cedar bark Renee Mezzone’s small (1½” x 2½”) basket treasures are made using a twill pattern of continuous weave (no previous experience needed). Embellished with beads or charms (a large selection is provided), the “bags” are worn on an adjustable neck strap. Covered with a leather flap (real or faux), the baskets can cradle a special stone or fetish. Please bring small embroidery-type scissors, any special beads or charms you would like to use, a brown bag lunch and your imagination! $70 members/$85 general public
