Pine Needles and Gourds
Saturday, October 18, 9am-4pm

Gourd artist Sue Brogdon is noted for her gourds of metallic colors with pine needle stitchery gracing the rim. In this workshop, Brogdon teaches participants three different stitches for attaching the needles and a variety of surfacing techniques using inks, dyes, and even shoe polish for the gourds! Beads, seeds and feathers are added at the end to conceal the drill holes.  All materials are provided. Please bring an old towel, cloth tape measure, latex gloves, bucket, scissors, as well as a drill with 1/16” bit and a heat tool if you have them. And, don’t forget a brown bag lunch for a working break! $85 members/$100 general public
