Every gourd artist/enthusiast needs an electrocuted gourd in their collection — the perfect conversation starter! With gourd artist Sue Brogdon as your guide, the morning begins outdoors, cleaning up the “electrocuted” areas and the insides of your gourds. Next up, you will be using dye inks to color and then seal the vessel, finally adding multi-level, coiled pine needle, wire-lashed rim. Prepped vase-shaped gourd, black spray paint, dye inks, sealant, black pine needles, wire and a gage are provided. Please bring an electric drill and a gourd cleaning ball (if you have these tools), dust mask or respirator, an old tooth brush, steel wool, an old towel and a bucket. Note: there will be power towels to share if you do not have your own.
