Join us for a family-friendly Easter Sunday performance with Diana Schaible & Sierra Norris!

This special edition of Sundays in the Garden offers two 45-minute performances from 1:30-2:15 and 2:15-3:00 pm, an easter egg hunt, coloring contest, and more!


Join us at Tohono Chul this Easter Sunday for a celebration of music and nature!

This special family-friendly Easter edition of Sundays in the Garden is perfect for kids and families, featuring two performances by local musicians and University of Arizona alumni, Diana Schaible and Sierra Norris.

With interactive music specially curated for children, each performance promises an engaging and immersive experience for little ones and adults alike.

Kids will also have the opportunity to join in the Easter fun with an egg hunt and a creative coloring contest!

After the show, stroll through our 49 acres of curated gardens and natural trails and admire the beauty of springtime in Tucson!

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Diana Schaible
Originally from Idaho Falls, Idaho, Diana Schaible is an award winning flutist, guitarist, and music educator based in Tucson, Arizona. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Idaho in 2011, and received her Master’s degree in Music Performance at the University of Arizona in 2013. While at UA, Diana was a part of the prestigious Fred Fox Graduate Wind Quintet, played principal flute in the Arizona Symphony and UA Wind Ensemble, and participated as a finalist in the UA concerto competition.

More recently, Ms. Schaible was a prize winner in the 2020 Flute Society of Kentucky Young Artist Competition, and has also won prizes in classical guitar at several music festivals, including MusicFest Northwest in Spokane, WA, San Francisco Bay Area Guitar Competition, and 1st prize at the Sierra Nevada Guitar Competition. She has performed internationally on both flute and guitar in Canada, Mexico, Ireland, and the United States. Ms. Schaible is in demand as a performing artist throughout Arizona, playing principal flute in the Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra, and performing solo and chamber music in such venues as Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, University of Arizona’s Centennial Hall, and the Rogue Theater in Tucson, among many others.

Sierra Norris
Sierra Norris, PhD, MT-BC, is active throughout the Tucson community as a board-certified music therapist. She teaches several different instruments and specializes in creating music experiences that are fun and accessible for learners of all abilities and ages.

Sierra earned a doctorate degree in Music Education with a minor in Cognitive Science from the University of Arizona, a Master of Music degree in Music Therapy and Flute Performance from Illinois State University, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Bassoon and Flute Performance from the University of Arizona, where she graduated summa cum laude and was recognized as the Outstanding Senior of the College of Fine Arts. She loves to contra-dance and explore early music on recorder or viol de gamba with friends.
